I've been researching my MORRISON family and my husband's CASON family for the past 8 years. It has been, and continues to be, a very interesting hobby. The major surnames represented in my MORRISON line are BLACKERBY, CAMP, CASON, DENMAN, FOSTER, GAINES, GILLELAND, HAMPTON, HENSON, MILAM, PHELPS, STEPHENS, STOVALL, WATTERS, WHITE AND YOUNG.My great grandfather, Jacob Jenkins Young, is one of my brick walls. He was born 1828 in S. C. but I have been unable to learn anything about his siblings and/or his parents. The major surnames represented in the CASON line are CALER, CARVER, FOSTER, GIBBS, GRAHAM, HARRELL, HIGDON, QUEEN, ROGERS, SMITH, STONE, TAYLOR, TRIPLETT AND WEHUNT. The main brick wall here is Apsey Harrell Cason. Her family seemed to have dropped from the sky. These families for the most part traveled from Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee into Georgia. If you see a connection I will be more than happy to exchange information.
