Notes for Joseph Morgan, Sr.: He was a farmer at Beaver Bogs, (Beaver dam being on his place) in the town of New Fairfield. They moved when Joseph Jr was a boy to this place, known as Beaver Bogs district [now Beaver Brook?], and lived and raised a large family. Both Joseph Sr and his wife lived to a grand old age, died respected, and were buried in the district burying-ground. (Wait B Morgan says, writing in the family bible in 1892.) "I never knew anything about grandfathers (Joseph sr) parents, but I did know my great grandfather Drue. He was a member of the Church of England.
