There is some question as to whether Jonathon or Sarah was the first child of Robert and Mary.However, he is always called the eldest son.In addition he was old enough in 1656 to contract for marriage to Mary Spinning daughter of Humphrey Spinning (Spinage) Sr. and so was born no later than 1635 as his next younger brother, Nehemiah, was born in 1636.

Date of death might have been before 1683 as she was not mentioned in her fathers will. However, then she could not be the mother of Isaac born 10 Mar 1687/88.Unless there was another, unknown marriage before Samuel's known second marriage toSarah Baldwin, Hannah must have died shortly after Isaac's birth in 1688.She was therefore most likley not mentioned in her father's will because she had already received her portion of his estate at the time of her marriage, which was a very common practice.
Hannah was the 3rd daughter of Josiah Churchill who arrived in Wethersfield in 1638, was a Congregationalist, town surveyor, juror 1643-1675, and soldier in Pequot War.At his death he owned 210 acres.His wife was Elizabeth Foote, daughter of Nathaniel Foote, b. Eng 1593, d. Wethersfield 1644.Nathaniel was married in England to Elizabeth Deming. He settled in Wethersfield 1640, was Deputy to the General Court 1641-1644.
