Johann "Philip" Sr Ehrenhardt (b. 18 Oct 1726, d. 04 Jan 1804)Johann "Philip" Sr Ehrenhardt (son of Anna Sybilla Taubin) was born 18 Oct 1726 in Ilbesheim, Pfalz, Germany, and died 04 Jan 1804 in St John's (Organ Church) Lutheran Church,Rowan County(Now called St Peter's In Rowan County, NC).He married (1) Elizabeth Unknown.He married (2) Anna Mariah Hegler on 12 Mar 1776 in Davidson County, North Carolina.

Johann Philip Ehrenhardt (Aaronhart) was among the alien males over 16 who took oaths to the government in Philadelphia on 11/2/1744.He received a land warrant in Bucks County, Pa. in 174 8.He remained there until 1758 when he migrated to Rowan County, NC.He was naturalized there in March 1761 and received a Granville land grant in 1762.
He has a blacksmith and wagon maker by trade.He would build farm plows and other farm tools; also household furniture.When the Revolutionary War broke out in 1776 he volunteered his services to the defense of his adopted country.He was in the 10th Regiment of the Continental Line, Brevard's Company, Quarter Master Corps as a blacksmith.
Left a will recorded in Rowan County Book C page 251, date of will 2-14-1797:
His will was probated in 1804.Son John (Johann) to have half of home place.The other half to be sold upon his death and the money to be equally divided among his other children:Mary, Elizabeth, Philip, George, John, Christina, Easter, Eve, Eliza Catey, Mary Margaret.
Neither of his wives was mentioned in his will so it is assumed that they were both deceased.
Philip obtained land 8/28/1762 on both sides of Crane Creek.Wife Elizabeth also got land grant on 8/26/1762.

In 1762 Philip and Killian recorded deeds in the Court House of Salisbury, NC on Dutch SecondCreek,Philip and Killian received land grants from the Earl of Granville.Philip recorded 590A, Killian not far away recorded 290A(Rowan County Court Records, Book 5, page 101)
