This is one of the homes at Fort Monroe, Virginia, where my Grandfather lived while he was stationed there. At the time he was a Captain, US Army. This building was constructed in 1892 and destroyed in 2004. The picture is from the archives of Fort Monroe. He lived there from 1922 to 1927.

Ninety-seven years later, the quarters at Fort Monroe where Captain Donald Langley Dutton and his family lived still stands. It is still used as a home for Army Officers - but now they are Generals instead of Captains!The building was constructed in 1908; he lived there in 1918.

Lisa Sikes was awarded the Volunteer of the Year award at her son's school. She won this award because of her dedication and easy going personality. She helped run the school store, acted as a chaperone for school trips and assisted her son's homeroom teacher with day-to-day activities and special events like class parties.
