Notes for John Richard Early:John was one of the most popular and best known citizens of the Earlysville community. They resided at "Wakefield", a large plantation near Earlysville, Va. The house in which they lived was built in the late 1700s by his great-great grandfather, Richard Durrette. He died at his home.
