| My name is Jeffrey Valliant FEARS. I am currently researching my family line through my great-great-great grandfather, William FEARS. William was born between about 1784-1790 in TN. He later moved (presumably with his family) to Grainger Co, TN where he married Polly Douglass, daughter of Joseph Douglass and Margaret "UNKNOWN." Polly was born about 1798 also in TN.William and Polly had eleven children that I know of: Mary Ann FEARS (b. 1810), followed by Ebenezer B. FEARS (b. 1814), William FEARS (b. 1815), Pryor FEARS (b. 22 October 1817), Alsie FEARS (b. 1819) and John Daniel FEARS (b. 1821), James FEARS (b. 1825), Sarah Jane FEARS (b. 1827), Frances FEARS (b. 1831), Melissa FEARS (b. 1832) and Josiah Wilson FEARS (my great-great grandfather, b. 1834).Josiah is listed in the 1860 Census in Graves Co, KY and in the 1880 Census in Greene Co., AR and fought for the Confederacy during the Civil War in KY. His father, William, fought in the War of 1812 from 1814-1815.Any help in determining my ancestors would be greatly appreciated.
