Primary research areas include the Flanagan families of New Jersey and Texas; the Van Dyck, Haussler, and Morlock families of New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Oklahoma, and Kansas; the Moody, Peck, and Fenton families of Massachussetts, Connecticut, and Ohio; the Hooper, Slocumb, Bell, and Overby/Overbee/Overbay families of Virginia, Kentucky, and Illinois, and the Overacker families of New York, Michigan, and Iowa. I am also interested in finding a connection for my great-grandfather, John Wesley Manuel, MD.He married my great-grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Barth, in Concrete, Texas on August 7, 1890, then went missing after making a house call early in 1891 and was never heard from again. My grandfather, Irvin Wesley Manuel, was born on May 8, 1891.
