Hans died 2 years before his father Rev. Jean Ranck leaving his children for the grandfather to raise.He too soon died.Rosine Katherine died in 1712 at age 7 and Johann Vallentine also died in 1712 at age 2.The other children were left to be raised by their mother.
Records remain only of John Michael and John Philip who became the first Rancks in America.
