11.Elizabeth Hayes161,162, born June 13, 1771163,164.
Notes for Simeon Smith:
"There was an article written by Donald Jacobus in TAG about Simeon's ancestors...
Simeon served in the Rev. War and some of his descendants joined the DAR.Some info came from the DAR application but I believe some of the information is wrong.I've looked at lots of census records, visited the cemetery where Simeon is buried, corresponded with other descendants.I've not found a will or estate for Simeon. He was a Baptist minister and probably didn't own anything to be left in a will or estate. He drew a pension for his service in the war.
I'm not sure that I can prove they are all his children.I'm not at all sure about Ira."[E-mail from Mary Lou Clegg mclegg@comcast.net 11/26/02]
