Notes for John E. Foster:
It is said John E. Foster was "mule driving" in Mississippi and "put up" at one William White's home.He brought home William's daughter, Elizabeth, as a bride of 17 years of age.
After her death, he had a black woman (slave ?) and had children by her (see father's Joseph will).
Elizabeth was buried in the family cemetary and he was buried across the road in his yard.Relatives have said the black children came to his funeral.Cemetary is located in Maury Co.TN.
