Alonso de Cabrera Solier was Captain of King Don Enrique IV, Captain-General n the conquest of the Canary Islands, perpetual Governor of the islands of Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Gomera and Hierro, and founder of the house of Cabrera in the Canaries.
Buried in the main chapel on the parochial church in the villa of Tequise, Lanzarote, along with his wife Dona Catalina Dunpierez. Their coat of arms is showing, as well as the following epitaph: "Here lies the very honorable gentleman Alonso de Cabrera Solier, 24th de Cordoba, Governor of the Castle de Marpequena, in Africa, Governor and Captain Ganeral in the conquest of these Islands"
