Welcome to the Christopher S. Francis Family Home Page.This site provides information on the descendants of Samuel Francis of Baltimore Maryland.Samuel and his wife Ann lived in Baltimore County in the late 1700s.Our earliest evidence of this comes from the parish register of St. James Chapel, Baltimore County, which lists the birth dates of three children of Samuel and Ann Francis: Charles, b. 12 May 1780, William, b. 2 Oct 1782, and Sarah, b. 23 Aug 1790.
I am a descendant of Samuel's son Charles.I'm still fairly new at this, but I learn more every day.Initially, most of my research consisted of interviewing family members.
Much of the research on the early Francis ansestry was conducted by David Francis, a descendent of William Francis, another son of Samuel.Thanks for sharing the results of all your hard work David!
This site also contains a great deal of information on the ancestors of my wife's step-father, Mr. James Korb.

    Emma V. (Henry) Francis was the wife of James Albert Francis.She was born on 18 January 1853 and died on 17 April 1936.An annotation on the back of the picture reads "Mamma, Emma V. Francis".
  • Samuel and Amanda (Francis) Emge (37 KB)
    Amanda Francis was born on August 31st 1872.She she and her husband Samuel Robert Emge lived in the Baltimore area.
