His dad (this person) became minister of the Southwold, Suffolk parish on January 14, 1611, and was the spiritual leader there until his death, in 1625. We don't know for sure where the family was before then, but Selah Youngs believed he may be the son of Christopher Younge, Vicar of Ashburton and Ermington.
(Note: Southwold, Suffolk, lies on the coast about twenty miles south of Yarmouth, and has a church dedicated to St. Edmunds, situated on an eminence overlooking the North Sea. Reydon is located two miles inland from Southwold, and is an older town.)
