John Henry was buried in a small family graveyard on a farm in Poinsett County, Arkansas (Marked Tree).There is no record of date of death or cause of death at this time.Since his soul was laid to rest the property that he was interred in has been plowed under and consequently there is no true record of the location of his final resting place.
John Henry operated a floating saw mill on the St. Francis River and would go to the site of those needing to have their trees cut into lumber.
