Our Family TreeUpdated June 25, 2007 | ShawnaGibson shawnaandmatt@aol.com |
I love to research my roots. It is so interesting. I have also researched my husbands side of the family for my children. I was in 2 other relationships so I do have alot of roots to follow. In this file you will find my mothers side of the family which is Warthens (from Europe) & Visborg (from Denmark). From the Warthens side of the Family I have found out that the poor large family of siblings were taken by the goverment after my gr-grandmother passed away. Her husband just couldn't keep food on the table, so in the end all the children were seperated and put in foster care. I have managed to locate some of the siblings but that is a very hard task. On the Visborg side I was lucky to find many things I never knew about that side of the family. No one ever spoke much of that side and I was very curious to find answers. I am glad I pursued my task. I have done my fathers side as well. The Yates (from Unknown)& the Coppocks (from Switzerland). The Yates side was difficult because for some reason documents stop. I have come to a dead end. However the side I thought would be the hardest the Coppock side was easier than I thought. I managed to get that side all the way to the 1500.In Researching the Gibson Family tree. My husbands dads side, I have found the Gibson surname starts in Ireland and moves to Canada then to the United States where they settled in Minnesota. On my husbands mothers side is the McGiverns (directly from Ireland)They have alot of interesting things to view. I am also researching other parts of my family tree as well. As you will notice there are many other books that this web page provides this is because my family branches out more then most. :) |
