Will dated __ JAN 1750, codicil (addition) dated 9 JAN 1750, proved 26 Mar 1751, St. Andrew's Parish, Brunswick County, Virginia. He died between those dates. *Prior to 1752 the old, or Julian, calendar prevailed in English counties. Under it the year began 25 MAR and 26 MAR 1751 was within three months of 9 JAN 1750.
"Clack, Sterling, was a burgess from Brunswick County in the assembly of 1748-1749. He was son of James Clack of Brunswick County, who was son of Rev. James Clack of Ware Parish, Gloucester county. He was clerk of Brunswick county from 1740 to 1751. He married Anne Eldridge, daughter of Thomas Eldridge, and died in 1751."
