|"Under The Spreading Chestnut Tree", the history of Garrett, Somerset Co., Pa. was published in 2006. A real labor of love for my parents home town. There are still copies of it available from my home. Much history has been added to my files from 2000 to Feb 2008. The search still continues for the family of John Roby, born in England who first appears in the 1851 census records of a "Poor House". So began my Roby line. On the Graybill end the family history called "Blue Ridges, Green Valleys & Graybill's came off the press and is now available from our home address. Over 500 pages and 200 photographs of the family that proves over and over again... Genealogy is never complete!! The family I have outlined begins with Jost of Zaziwil, Grosshochstetten, Canton Bern, Switzerland and his three sons Jost, Peter and Michael. Many lines are complete from approximately 1650 to 1999.
