We are researching the decendants of John & Mary Guyer of Clarion County, PA.The earliest info that we have discovered to-date shows John Guyer building the first woolen mill in Leatherwood, Porter Twp in the 1820's.He and Mary were active in the Porter Twp & Limestone Twp area.It was then part of Armstrong County, before the formation of Clarion County. They built a home on Maple St. in Hawthorn, Redbank Twp of Clarion County, which still stands in full residence use today. They had 7 sons: Michael, Jacob B., John S., Abraham, William, Henry and Lewis.
Research has shown close ties & inter-marriage with the Miller, Boozer, Delp and Cyphert families, among others to be discovered with your help & assistance.
