Notes for Lula Mae Callahan:
Thoughts of Grandma Woodman bring back happy childhood memories of our annual trek to Grey Eagle for the 4th of July (Grandma Hall's birthday). She always woke us early in the morning by hollering up the stairway in her loud and strong voice to come down and have breakfast.Breakfasts I will always remember, as there usually was large quantities of fresh berries and plenty of other delicious food. The first thing we would have to do when we arrived at their house was to go out back to the huge willow tree to each pick out our own "switch" just in case they would be needed while visiting.Grandpa Woodman always had plenty of rocks for us to pick out of his garden too.
Article in Long Prairie Leader 14 Jun 1934 under Grey Eagle Department column:
Mrs. O. B. Woodman was a guest at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Orrin Hall, at Anoka, Saturday and Sunday.
