It pleased God to call out to Waldemar Ernst Wilhelm Hamann, who was born at Tanunda as the only son of Mr & Mrs Carl Hamann on 30th March 1895. He was baptised and confirmed by the late pastor Hossfeld in the Tabor Church.
The deceased served overseas in the 10th Battalion of the 1st A.I.F and after his return he livedthe rest of his life in Tanunda being employed as a clerk. He was married to Carolyne Gertrude Taylor by the Reverand Forsythe in Franklyn St. Methodist Church on 19th March, 1927.
He passed away early Monday morning 24th February at the age of 73 years, and almost 11 months after leaving his loving wife and only sister.
The funeral service was conducted in Tabor Church early Thursday afternoon 27th Feb. and at centennial Park Adelaide.
The funeral texts were : 2 Corinthians 6, 1 and 2, and Isaia 53, 5.
Wally was a drum Major in the Tanunda Band
