Marion Odom Jr.
Bishop
Marion H. Odom Jr., 76, died Monday, Sept. 23, 1996.
A native of Putnam County, Mr. Odom was a son of the late M.H.
and Josie Mincey Odom. He was retired from Beers Construction Co.,
Atlanta, and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Arthur Bo-
wick's Oconee Chapel, Watkinsville, with the Rev. Lee Hunter
officiating. Burial will be in Oconee Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen Smith Odom; two daughters,
Jane Odom and Johnna Merritt, both of Bishop; two sons, Clay Odom
and Marion Odom III, both of Bishop; two stepchildren, Connie Hicks
and Skippy Higginbotham, both of Monroe; and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral
home.
