State of North Carolina, in Book of Wills "G" page 131 January Term 1816
In the name of God Amen I Nathaniel Pass of the County of Caswell County of the State of North Caroline, this beingthe 17th day of January One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eleven, being in perfect health and of sound mind and memory, thanks be given to Almighty God and knowing that it is appointed to all men once to die, do make ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following: First I recommend my soul to Almighty God who gave it and my body to the dust to be buried in a decent and Christian burial, and for such worldly estate as it has pleased God to bless me with in this life, I dispose of the same in the following manner: First I give and bequeath to my oldest son Holloway Pass one dollar, I also give and bequeath to my son Nathaniel Pass one dollar, also I give and bequeath to my daughter Sallie Moore one dollar, I give and bequeath to my daughter Jemimah Williams one dollar, I give and bequeath to my daughter Rebecca Burton one dollar, I give and bequeath to my daughter Fannie Taylor one dollar, I give and bequeath to my son John Pass that part of my land lying on the North side of a large branch which runs through my plantation supposed to be one hundred acres be the same more or less, also one hundred dollars, one walnut table & one crosscut saw to him and his heirs forever.
?I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Pass all of the residue of my land lying on the North side of the said branch supposed to contain one hundred & thirty four acres be the same more or less to him and his heirs forever. I also give to my son Thomas two hundred dollars to be paid our of estate after my decease. I give and bequeath to Holloway Pass my oldest son fifty dollars. I also give and bequeath my son Nathaniel Pass fifty dollars, I also give and bequeath to my grand son William Moore, son of Sallie Moore fifty dollars, I also give and bequeath to my grand daughter Patsy Pass Williams daughter of Jemimah Williams fifty dollars, I give and bequeath tho my grand son John Phelps son of Mary Phelps fifty dollars, I give and bequeath to my grand son Thomas Taylor son of Ellis Taylor fifty dollars, I also give and bequeath to my grand daughter Fannie Ellis Gann twenty five dollars, I also give to my grand daughter Nancy Burton daughter of Rebecca Burton twenty five dollars, and lastly I give and bequeath to my grandson Henry Taylor son of Fannie Taylor fifty dollars. I lend to my beloved wife Alsey all my stock and household furniture and her living on the land whereof I now live during her natural life and after her death I order and devise the property at her death to be the property of my son Thomas Pass for his taking care and assisting his aged mother and lastly I hereby nominate and appoint my well beloved son Thomas Pass whole and sole executor to this my last will and testament hereby revoking and disannulling all wills or wills by me heretofore made ratifying and confirming this my last will and testament
