| This family tree started out with information on my name, Harper, and has grown to include fairly detailed information on the Lucas name (my mothers maiden name), and the Francis name ( my mother in-laws maiden name). I will be searching and adding details of the name Munn (my wifes maiden name) as I get more time. The Lucas family have their origins in the United Kingdom when my 4th great grandfather sailed with the First Fleet, to Australia, in 1788, aboard the 'Scarborough' as a Marine Private. He married a convict who had sailed with the Second Fleet in 1790 aboard the 'Lady Juliana'. One child was born in Sydney then they moved to Norfolk Isalnd where they had 3 more children. The Francis family are also from the UK mainly from Thaxted in Essex. They arrived in South Australia in 1855 aboard the 'Taymouth Castle'. The Harper family, again, originated in the UK. My 3rd great grandfather was born in Shropshire and arrived in New South Wales, Australia in 1857. If anyone has any information they feel is pertinent, please feel free to email me. | |
