Notes for Edward Bomar:
Edward's will probated in Essex Co., Virginia Aug. 10, 1766.
Do not know when they arrived in America but have been told the first four children were born in England. It is said the family originated in Sweden, then to England, then to America.
Susannah Bush, widow of Bibby Bush married second time to a Mr. Neal and died in Halifax Co., Va. in 1788.Will mentioned good friend John Bomar and witnessed by Reuben Bomar.
Reuben Bomar Sr. bought land in Spartenburg, S.C. in 1801, on Spartenburg census 1810 last mention of him in Spartenburg deeds in 1818.So I think he married Elisabeth ? ? in Virginia. She must have died in Spartenburg after Delilahs birth in 1808, then Reuben married Nancy ????.
Spartenburg County South Carolina is full of Bomars, some quite prominent.
