Reb Elimelech of Lyzansk Weisblum (b. Abt. 1716, d. Abt. 1787)

The following is a quotation describing Reb Elimelech.It is taken from Neil Rosenstein's book entitled "The Unbroken Chain", page 1142.
Reb Elimelech of Lezhansk, known as the Lyshansker, after the town of Lezansk where he was the Admur, was the author of the well known Chassidic work, Noam Elimelech and also Lekutei Shoshanaa.His brother was the Chassidic leader, Reb Meshulam Zusia of Annipol (died 1800). Reb Elimelech was a pupil of the maggid of Meseritz and died in Lyzansk in 1786.His wife, Shprintze, was the daughter of Reb Aaron Rokeah, brother of Reb Eleazer of Brody and Amsterdam (from whom are descended the Rokeah Chassidic dynasty of Belz).
