His second wife was Anna Pfister who was buried 19 Mar 1639 at Hirzel. Anna was from Stocken in Wädenswil. [Carole note: Wadenswil is a Parish located in the Kanton of Zurich and is on the Western side of Lake Zurich. Stocken is a small town with in the Parish.]He had three Anabaptist sons by Anna.
He was listed as an Anabaptist living at "An der Spitzen" in Hirzel, Zurich in 1633. His wife Anna Pfister and three children were listed with him in 1633. In was in prison in May 1637 for his Anabaptist beliefs. He was not living at Hirzel in 1637 or 1640 but his two sons, Hans Heinrich and Hans Jacob were listed in the household of Felix Hotz at Bachenmoss, Hirzel.
His third wife was Margretha Strickler of Harrüti in Hirzel.
In the 1640 census at Hirzel it listed the children of the "Widertäuffer" Peter Bruppacher as Hans Heinrich, age 12 and Jacob, age 9. His three sons were educated for two years at Ottenbach after 1640. He was in prison again for 40 weeks and in 1640 his property was confiscated.
In 1645, his son Heinrich was called Täuffers son of Wädenswil when he was negotiating about his fathers confiscated property. His three sons probably joined him in Alsace in 1651 as all expenses paid by the authorities in Zurich for the three sons ceased that year. He was living in Alsace, France by 1647. Some of his family left for Rappoltsweiler in Alsace in 1649. He had purchased land in Alsace and lived there for 13 years from 1648 to 1661.

-------------------
In the year 1637, in the month of May three brethren, the names of two of whom are Jacob Rusterholtz and Peter Brubach, were summoned to a certain place and kept prisoners, by the high bailiff of Wadischwyl. There was also imprisoned at this time, Hans Landis the second, a confirmed minister of the church in Horgerberg; as also his daughter, Margaret Landis, who remained imprisoned about sixty weeks in Othenbach. In the meantime the authorities sold their property, realizing seven thousand guilders from it, which they kept for themselves.
We previously, for the year 1637, made mention, in the margin, of a brother named Peter Brubach, who being then imprisoned with two other of our fellow believers, finally was released. The same was now, A. D. 1640, cruelly persecuted; insomuch that on the 6th of May his house was demolished, his male and female servants sent away, the children driven out of the house, his house, homestead, woodland and fields, movables and immovables, yea, everything taken; a part of which was put into Othenbach, and the other part sold, from which 9,000 rix-dollars was realized, which the authorities seized. Not long afterwards the three little sons of this man were imprisoned in Othenbach, where they miserably wasted, etc. Tract, Jer. Mang.; edit. 1645.
