My name is Tommy Henrich and I've been researching the family of my Great-Great-Great-Grandfather, Ion Axenty from Bucovina, Romania since 1982.One of his sons, Procopi Axenty (11 Feb 1863 - 2 Mar 1953), emigrated to Saskatchewan Canada in 1899 with his wife, Paraschiva Ungurean (12 Oct 1871 - 5 Jun 1962), and their four children.After having three more children in Canada, the family later moved to Redondo Beach, CA in 1914.
In addition, I am also seeking information about the family of Teodor Ungurean, father to Paraschiva.Theodore fathered six children: Georghe, Domnica, Paraschiva, Marita, Ione, and Artimone.I beleive that many of the descendants of these children are still living in parts of Romania & Ukraine.Sirnames include Ion Axenty, Nestor Hulunga, John & George Paulencu, Hlopina, Jeremita, Nick Penteleiciuc, Nichitovici, Bordian, Ungurean (Ungren, Unguren), Ropchian, Timoftei Rurak, Michail Lewontiuk (Leonte, Lewonte), Nestor Woroschuk, and Marco Zilinski.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.I am also willing to share any information I have in my personal files.
