OBITUARY--Tampa Tribune, February 11, 2004
Jones, E. J. Edward, 70, a resident of Lakeland, passed away February 9, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Darleen C. Jones of Lakeland; three daughters, Martha Lee Cobb of Lakeland, Barbara Gene Trowell, and Donna Grace Smith, both of Plant City; two brothers, Riley Gene Jones of Monticello, and Hugh Lee Jones of Middleburg; six grand-children, and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 12, 2004 at 11 AM at Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in Hopewell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to service time at the church.
