Downing 1-1-4-1 George Washington Whitmire +Catherine Wofford +Elizabeth Faught.Starr lists George with two wives and only one set of twelve children.In the 1851 Drennen roll, Going Snake District, family #713, Elizabeth Faught is listed with five children.I had these five under Elizabeth and the others under Catherine; however, Miller ap# 1848 for Charlotte Wright nee Whitmire, lists her brothers and sisters specifying that Stephen & Nathaniel Whitmire were half-brothers.Stephen & Nathaniel are the oldest two children so it appears that they would be the children of Catherine Wofford but raised by Elizabeth.
