Notes for WILLIAM CRITTENDEN, SR:
I had a William Crittenden +Lydia Alberty, with no idea of where that William connected.Then I traced a Jesse Crittenden through the rolls: in 1880 he was with his father Sam and in 1890 he was living with his uncle Mose Crittenden.There is only one Mose[s] Crittenden that fits the bill as Jesse's uncle and he's the son of William Crittenden and Malinda House.That same Moses Crittenden was enumerated in 1890 shortly following the family of Sam Crittenden.So.... I am making a priliminary assumption here that the two Williams are the same guy.This does mean that he would be having children by more than one woman at a time but there are pleanty of instances where that was happening.I also have this William as being enumerated on BOTH the Drennen AND the Old Settler; this was mentioned in Miller testimony and it appears that this William did maintain more than one household and was enumerated in each of them.
