From special report, enclosed within Miller ap# 528, ref: Applications of Lillie Jordan, et al - claiming through Catherine Jordan nee Ward: "...Catherine Jordan, had no brothers and sisters or half brothers and sisters.This would seem to make it certain that the Charles Ward, father of Catherine Ward, was not the Charles Ward enrolled by Chapman, and there is no other connection shown with the Cherokee rolls of 1835 and 1851." ...Catherine Jordan's right to be enrolled as an Eastern Cherokee was considered by Agent Siler in 1851 and rejected."
