The Hochhalter Family emigrated to the United States from Rohrbach,Russia.My great-grandfather was Jacob Hochhalter born November 5, 1831 in Rohrbach.He was married twice during his life.Jacob's first wife was Friedricke Christina Eisenbarth.They had one child name Susanne. After Friedricke died in 1856, Jacob married my great-grandmother Margaretha Zimbelmann.They had twelve children between 1857 and 1875.
In 1902, Jacob and Margaretha emmigrated to the United States.Jacob passed away not long after arriving in the USA.Margaretha lived with my grandfather Jacob in Glen Ullin, North Dakota until she passed away in 1911.
My grandfather was their twelfth child and he was also named Jacob.He was born October 24, 1875 in Rohrbach, Russia.Jacob emigrated to the United States around 1900 after marrying Wilhelmina Stolz.Jacob and Wilhelmina settled in Tripp, South Dakota for a few years.They then moved to Glen Ullin, North Dakota.Over the years, they moved to Corvallis and Missoula Montana, American Falls and Twin Falls, Idaho and finally settled in Lodi, California.
Jacob and Wilhelmina had fourteen children during their life. In March 1938, Wilhelmina passed away at Lodi, California.Later that same year, Jacob married Dorathea Rudolph from Twin Falls, Idaho and they returned to Lodi to live.
