The Hunt/Furbush GenealogyUpdated June 14, 2005
This page will show the Hunt family genealogy from John and Elizabeth (Town) Hunt of W. Malling, Kent, England as their son moved to Nova Scotia, Canada and the family moved to the Lynn, Essex, MA area in 1850. It will also show the descent of William Furbush, who was captured by Cromwell at the battle of Dunbar and sent in 1650 to Boston to be sold to Richard Leader for seven years labor in his saw mills in Maine. These lines joined in 1884 when Denison Gage Hunt and Mary Helen Furbush were married. Also covered will be other famiies that married into these lines. They will cover the Peabody, Lewis, Breed, Mansfield, Scott, Putnam, Richards, Farrar, Sargeant, Gifford, Knight, Stackpole and two Mayflower passangers, White and Appleton. If there are any researchers of these lines who would like what info I have, I will be happy to help. I am always hoping to update and correct mistakes in my records.
