her comments were "He was known as Pappy John. Tall, Dark Red Curly Hiar. His occupation was a Farmer. He always wanted to be called Grandfather for Respect. But all the Grand children called him Pappy John for Meaness. When they got him riled he would throw rocks at them. He hated Ernest Tubb because he wouldn't come out of the Radion and let him see him. In his old age, he had hardning of the arteries he later had a severe stroke and died."
