We are searching for information on the following surnames:
James, Currin, Coker, Martin, McAllister, Emmons, Waters, Powell,
Lumpkins, LaCroix, Parkes, and Neelley
The James Family came to Giles County Tennessee from North Carolina at the turn of the nineteenth century.We have lost contact with some of their decendants that moved to the Dallas Texas area in the late 1800's.
The McAllisters came to New Albany, Mississippi from South Carolina circa 1840.
Joseph and Mary Ann Leonard Parkes came to America from Quarry Bank, Staffordshire, England in 1855 and settled in the Middle Tennessee area.
The Lumpkins family also settled in the Middle Tennessee area.
Descendants of Jacob DeLacroix (Alsace, France) settled in the Middle Tennessee area in the early 1800's.
Rebecca Waters married (m. 9-15-1865) Thomas Turpin McAllister(b.8-27-1838) in Lounsville,South Carolina.We do not have any additional information on her family or parents.
