NC and by 1820 had gone as far as Sandy Creek near the Chatham Co. line.

NC before 1772.The Harrises were believed to have come from Halifax Co.VA.After Augustine's death, Mary Davenport was deeded 200 acres on the present Davidson-Randolph Co. line by Jesse Harris, Jr. which she held until 1811 when she deeded it back to him.Where she went after that is unknown. |

Not in Yount-Cemetery records of Wayne Co. IN-he may have been buried at Whitewater Cemetery.That cemetery was moved and hundreds of stones lost.
He may have been in Germantown, OH in 1805.According to Young's History of Wayne Co. IN early settlement was made in 1806 by Jesse Davenport and Jacob Fouts, etc. (p. 32).They settled 4 or 5 miles south east of Richmond.
Names of Friends in Whitewater MM, Wayne Co. IN at the opening of the first MM in 1807 included Jacob Fouts.
Audrey Woodruff says he d. 1801 and Eleanor d. 1835 in Wayne Co. IN.
