Notes for Henry Ballinger:
According to the Harvey book, Henry went to Guilford Co. NC and he (with Thomas Hunt) gave the land on which the Friends church was founded there.He and his wife were both Friends ministers; his family later moved to Ohio because of their feelings against slavery.
From Quaker records:Henry of NJ and PA received a certificate from Salem MM, NJ by New Garden MM, PA dated 27/4/1726;he married 18/6/1726 at Nottingham MM, MD Hannah Wright, daughter of James and Mary Wright of Monocacy Valley MD.She was b. 24-1-1709.When Hopewell MM VA was set up in 1735 they were automatically transferred to that meeting; eventually they moved to NC and were members of Cane Creek MM (1751) until they were transferred to New Garden MM.
He was b. 8th month, 5th day, 1695 and d. 5th month, 4th day, 1774 in NC.
