We are researching the following families that settled in southern Indiana during the 1800's.On some of these families we have quite a bit of information. On others we are limited. We are new at this and would like to find help and help others who join in our quest for our ancestors.
Some of the names we are researching are Davis, Lloyd, Greene, Williams, Wolff, Reyman, Summers, Morris, Mount, Gresham, Walton, Stephenson, Walton, Voyles, Grimes, Thompson, Jones, Johnson, Fleenor, Idol, Arbuckle, Miller, Elliott, Newby,White,Thompson, Phegley, White, Hazzard, Pierson, Collings, Richey, Macomber, Myers, and a few others.
We are very desperate for information on any Davis's or Gaffey's that resided in Chester County, PA in the late 1840's and early 1850's before they came to Indiana.Gaffeys came to the U.S. from Ireland during the Potato Famine. Also we are at a loss as to where William Loyd b.1828 and brother David Loyd came from. They also brought with them John and Jerrel loyd who are thought to be nephews. They came to Washington County Indiana in the early 1800's.
If we have any information that would be of help to you please contact us and if you can help us in our dilemmas we would appreciate it.
