Jordan and Asa Jordan and John Dean are held and firmly bound unto their hands the Justices of the Superior Court sitting as a court of ordinary their succesors in office and assigns in the(word unknown) and full sum of $400.00 for the payment of which sum to the said court of Judge and their succesors in officee blanckblankblankblankexecutors and administator in the whole and for the whole sum paid by and blank blank blank blank and blank by these blank presents sealed with our seals and dated April 1849the conditions of this whole obligation is blank blank blank blank bond William F. Even though it it stated there is no evidence of 1812 experience I was sent information that Benjamin did serve in the war of 1812, WO 4338. Affidavit, May 1, 1871, of Martha Jorden, age 71, resident of Haralsen Co., Ga., that her husband was drafted in 1812.Was discharged at Somersville.Fought in Battle of the Horseshoe.Applicant drew tow land warrants.Her maiden name was Martha Smith and she married the soldier 12 January 1814, Washington Co., Ga., by John Curry, J.P.The soldier died 28 December 1848 at home in Carrol County, GA.No evidence of War of 1812 service, did serve in Seminole War.

She siad the paragraph was exactly as the abstract was sent to her and copied in the National archives, washington, D.C. by a pro researcher.
