Nolting: Chariton County, Missouri, 1854-1890s; Germany before 1854, in Eisbergen, near Minden. Rumpel: Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, 1840s; Germany before 1840s, in or near Themar, Saxe-Meiningen (now Thuringia). Weyant: Orange and Dutchess counties, New York. Halstead: Orange and Dutchess counties, New York. Messing: Dickinson County, Kansas, from about 1878; Montgomery County, Ohio, 1868-1878; Germany before 1868, in Templin in Brandenburg. Wortman: Germany in the mid 1800s, probably in or near Templin in Brandenburg. Schlehuber: Dickinson County, Kansas, 1878; Montgomery County, Ohio, 1867-1878; Germany before 1867, in Winsen/Luhe, Angern, Sontra, Bernburg/Saale, Gandersheim; also perhaps Seesen and Grebenstein.
