Three brothers, Adrian, Michael and Hilarius and two sisters, Maria (Cyrus) NESTER and Prisca (Briska) WOLFF came to America at different times in the last half of the 1800's. Michael and Adrian settled in Jackson County, Wisconsin, Hilarius settled in LaCrosse County, Wisconsin, Priska married William Henry Wolff in Jackson County area and moved to Falls City, Nebraska.William and Prisca are buried there. Maria and Cyrus Nester settled in Marysville, Marshall County, Kansas. The WUFF (WOOF in America) family came from Manubach, Rheinland-Pfalz,Germany. Frederick Jacob, son of Johann Heinrich and Anna Elisabeth (Silbach) Wuff and his wife,Henrietta Catherine(Pilger)came to Wisconsin with Henrietta's family members. The BOCK family originated in Nordstetten, Germany.Alexander Bock was born in Jackson County, Wisconsin. His mother was Mary Catherina Woof and he married Emma Galster. Augusta (WENSEL) Galster, wife of Michael Galster is thought to have come from Breidenbach, near Stramehl, Regenwalde, Germany.She arrived with her sister Albertina and brother-in-law, Wilhelm Casper. The GILBERTSON family (Outline under Anne Larsdatter) came from Faaberg, Gausdal, Oppland, Norway.John left Norway for LaCrosse, Wisconsin where he met and married Annetta Gundersdatter Aspeslet at Halfway Creek.She was the daughter of Karen Iversdatter and stepdaughter of Ole Gundersen Aspeslet. They had 12 children and settled in Jackson County, Wisconsin. The KNIPP family came from Poland and settled in Kewaunee and Manitowoc Counties, Wisconsin. Michael and Marianna Knipp were the oldest ancestors that I have. The KIENBAUM Family came from Germany and settled in the Whitewater area in Wisconsin. If you find a connection, please contact me. |
