He was also known as Jessian SMITH.
ii. Noah SMITHwas born September 27, 1725 Smithville, Atlantic County, New Jersey; married Judith Steelmanbefore 1748; died November 30, 1790 Galloway Twp., Atlantic County, New Jersey, at age 65.
iii. John SMITH was born February 21, 1735 Smithville, Atlantic County, New Jersey; married Sarah Higbee , daughter of Edward Higbeeand Jemima Risley, October 7, 1758; died January 5, 1806 Smithville, Atlantic County, New Jersey, at age 70.
He was a private in Gloucester Coompany, 3rd Batalion also Col Somers Batalion State troops during the Revolutionary War circa 1778.
John Smithleft a will on January 1, 1793
mentions daughter Jemima as well as her siblings Noah Smith, Abigail Morse, and Hannah Ireland.
