"Deacon Benjamin Colman" under Rev. Moses Parsons, suspended from his church in 1780 over slavery. He was re-instated 26 Oct 1875 after the death of Rev. Parsons. "A thorough-going abolitionist in advance of his time, brought serious charges against (Rev. Parsons) for violating the divine law and holding men and women in bondage of slavery."
