| John Bell, a barn framer at Toye's Hill, Ontario, Canada & Margaret Kennedy Bell, Canada, deceased about 1886... This was the beginning of the text Ivan William Bell, my grandfather, was authoring. I started this quest researching my maternal grandfather, Ivan William Bell, who was the son of John Harvey Bell and Margaret Jeanette McMurray.Ivan came from Iroquois, Ontario, Canada and arrived in New York aboard the S.S. Levis. He moved to Penn Yan, Yates County, New York, where he bought and successfully operated a farm. He married Daisy Myrtle (Durham) Labadee, They had four children, Loyd Elwin, David William, Beth Ellen(my mother), and Anna Diantha. My grandfather was a member of the Grange, and became a Master with that organization. I am also researching (without much luck) the family of my paternal grandfather, Herbert Clair Krieger, Sr. This is my family from John Bell and Margaret Kennedy on one side; Charles Krieger and Charlotte (Howser) Houser on the other. My Grandfather Bell was the son of John Harvey Bell and Margaret Jeanette McMurray.
