| I am researching the LaCAILLE family originally from Canada and then Colorado.Hubert LaCaille was born in Canada November 1846 moved to Georgetown, Colorado and changed the spelling of our name to LaCoy as shown in the 1900 census.He married Nora Mahoney August 17, 1895 in Arapoe County, Colorado still using LaCoy.Family Bible shows Nora as coming from County Cork, Ireland but 1920 census shows her as born in Colorado.Number of children not certain but one son Bryant born August 23, 1896 in Idaho Springs, Colorado (my father) married Iola Hicks March 26, 1917 in Cripple Creek, Teller County, Colorado.Spelling of name was changed back to LaCaille.Specifically I'm trying to find out exactly where Hubert came from and who his forebears might be.
