Their business plan was to use "Pump Girls" in uniforms to pump the customers gas instead of the regular gas station attendant at the time.It was unfortunate, their business plan proved unsuccessful.Maybe, just a bit "before their time" for beautiful Ladies pumping a Gentleman's gas...for his automobile.
