Iva Madeline Jones Lindamood
Iva Madeline Jones Lindamood, 83, of Austinville, the Bethany Community, died Monday, March 30, 1998, at the residence of her sister, Lucille J. Hudson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 1, at 2 p.m. at the Bethany United Methodist Church with the Rev. Donald White, the Rev. Bob Billingsley, the Rev. Larry Barnes and the Rev. A.C. Ashford officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethany Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church one hour before service time.
She was born in Wythe County, a daughter of the late William Lee and Lucy Mabe Jones. She was a lifelong member of the Bethany United Methodist Church and was a retired school teacher with the Wythe County School System with 43 years of service. She was a member of the Lead Mines Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Brown Lindamood; four brothers, R.D. Jones, Robert Jones, Luther Jones, and Floyd Jones; four sisters, Nellie Jones, Emma Jones, Jane Turney, and Cora Mabry.
Survivors include a sister, Lucille Jones Hudson of Route 2, Max Meadows; 15 special nieces and nephews; surrogate grandchildren, Quannah Patrick and Amanda Madeline McDaniel; and numerous great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews.
Reese Funeral Home in Austinville is in charge of the arrangements.
