SHARP was born in Ohio to Job and Sarah HAINES Sharp.He was the oldest son.His ancestors moved from England in the 1600's and settled in Burlington County, New Jersey.In late 1700's John, Job, and Enoch Sharp moved to Culpeper County, Virginia and then to Logan County, Ohio in early 1800's.The Joseph Sharp family moved about and he died in Holt County, Nebraska after 1885. In the late 1800's Elbert SHARP married Cora CALDER and in 1908 they had a son, Winfred Calder Sharp who married Irene Caroline HOBART. James CALDER married Ellen Elizabeth BUCEY/BUIS in Somerset County, New Jersey.After their sons, Jacob, James, and Hendrick were born they moved to Jefferson County, Ohio.Jacob Calder,Sr. lived in Jefferson County, Ohio the rest of his life.His youngest son, Jacob Jr. married Margaret VINCENT in Guernsey County, Ohio in 1871 and they returned to Jefferson County, Ohio until moving to Holt County, Nebraska in late 1800's where Margaret died.Between 1901 and 1910 Jacob moved to Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. MATERNAL: CULPEPPER, HOBART, CAPLINGER, PAGE, BRYAN(T) The CULPEPPER (Colepeper, Culpeper) family lived in Kent, England in 1170; emigrated to Virginia in about 1640; to Edgecombe County, North Carolina in 1680; to Benton/Henry County, Tennessee in 1817; and then Shannon/Howell County, Missouri in 1891. In 1914 Fred HOBART married Ina CULPEPPER. The HOBART (Hoare)family immigrated to Massachusetts from England in 1638.Joanna HINCKSMAN Hoar journeyed with 3 children to settle near Brimfield, MA.In 1838 some members of the Hoar family had their name legally changed to Hobart. Marlin Hobart was born in Massachusetts, moved to Chautauqua, New York in the early 1800's where his children were born.In 1840 he and some of his children moved to Trumbull County, Ohio.His son, Lemuel married Agness BURNS and lived in Mercer County, Pennsylvania until moving to Appanoose County, Iowa in 1854.By 1856 Lemuel had died and by 1860 Agness had remarried.Their youngest son, James Harvey Hobart, married Caroline Elizabeth PAGE in Mercer County, Missouri.They raised eight children.Their son Fred Hobart married Ina Cordelia CULPEPPER in 1914. In 1915 a daughter, Irene Caroline Hobart, was born.In 1940 she married Winfred Calder SHARP. The PAGE family lived in Virginia in the late 1700's and Peter Page died in 1820 in Lee County, Virginia.Many of his children moved to Hendricks County, Indiana in the very early 1800's.His grandson, John Page, moved to Mercer County, Missouri where his daughter, Caroline Elizabeth Page, married James Harvey Hobart.John moved to Imbler, Oregon where he died in 1907.
