Rosanna Geneva Slaight (b. August 07, 1911, d. August 31, 1992)
Notes for Rosanna Geneva Slaight:
1. She ran a country store between Spalding and Bartlett and did custom sewing in Trenton-all in Nebraska. Farmed east of Primrose where in 1949 she organized the first 4-H club in the area and continued working in 4-H for the next ten years. In 1955 moved to a farm north of Cedar Rapids where she opened an upholstery shop. After a few years she started a cake baking and decorating business. They left the farm for a year and moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where she owned and operated a small neighborhood grocery store. When they returned to the farm she resumed her cake business and purchased the Cedar Cafe, which she operated fro a year. She injoyed working in the church, gardening, raising flowers, doing handiwork, painting, drawing and reading.
